The idea is to mount a novel low-cost, lightweight and miniature acoustomicrofluidic nebulisation platform onto an unmanned aerial vehicle or miniature autonomous robotic vehicle to autonomously and remotely deliver therapeutics and antidotes via inhalation to incapacitated subjects exposed to hazardous threats rapidly. This minimises the threat to first responders and medical support personnel, particularly in the event of a chemical/biological warfare agent release. The platform is generic in what it can aerosolise, and hence can be used to deliver a wide variety of therapeutic agents against a range of countermeasures. Additionally, it could be used to deliver hydration or therapy in the form of aerosols to subjects trapped in disaster locations that cannot be easily reached by personnel (e.g., under earthquake rubble).
